Daddy-Daughter Date

Tay and Nelli have been going on some daddy daughter dates lately, mostly on Saturdays for a few hours.  Everyone involved loves these (especially mommy)!  This particular date they went to an exotic fish store for Nelli to enjoy, then to the West County Mall where there was a bunch of free activities put on by Cardinal Glennon Hospital.  It was a great time for all of us - including a caricature of Nelli and Taylor!

Biking!

We love biking!  Recently, Shea found me a bike and I borrowed a trailer from a friend.  Nelli asks to go for a bike ride almost everyday and so does our little friend, Brie.  I took these pictures just before our ride. I love that they both have straw sippy cups and just before this picture was taken they both had their little blankets (even though it was 80 out there) and ice-cube popsicles.

This was when we went on our first trip to grab groceries without Taylor and it went really well.  My muscles are still in training, that's for sure!  And there is technique to biking, especially on hills, that Taylor has been teaching me.  It was a chilly morning, so I put her in my sweater, which made her look like a munchkin. I love that she still manages to get to her belly button :)

Perks of biking: Taylor and I get to talk and exercise, Nelli gets to sit back and enjoy the outdoors and it saves money on gas- what could be better?!

Nelli and Ellie

Which one's Nelli?  We were watching Ellie for a few hours and when they both woke from their naps I was floored at how alike they looked with their groggy faces and pink shirts.  Those eyes of Ellie's get me every time I see her, they remind me of Nelli's and I just want to hug her.

General Conference With Babies

We invited the Cheneys over for General Conference on Sunday.  The first session the babies slept through except the last talk (Pres. Monson's of course).  Marlee and Nelli had a blast playing in this play hut and we got a kick out of watching them.  They are now at the age where they play with each other instead of parallel play and I love it with all my heart!  Now when Meghann and I take the girls somewhere in the car we get talking and next thing we know we hear the babies giggling in the back seat.  They love to tease each other :).
