Firehouse with Wolf Scouts

So, I'm a wolf scout leader now!  It's been an adventure to say the least.  I'm getting to know the boys and have an awesome co-leader to work with, Heather Cloward.  We went to the firehouse today and the boys loved it!  They got to see all the cool gadgets and even spray the fire hose (with some help) and Nelli likes the hat they gave her.

Halloween

We had a pre-Halloween celebration with Meghann and Shea Cheney.  We made tinfoil dinners,  carved pumpkins (our pumpkin is the ghosts...we used a stencil),  made caramel apples, and watched the cheesiest show that Shea watches every year,  The Burbs :).  We just loved it all! We did all this while the baby girls slept soundly upstairs.

Family Photo Shoot

Our wonderful friend and neighbor, Sarah Graden, is a great photographer!  We had so much fun talking and laughing throughout the photo shoot; the hour just flew by.  Nelli did great and, as you can see was all smiles the whole time.  We had just woke her up from a nap and by the time we were done it was her bed time, so she fell right to sleep on the drive home.  I mention this because I feel like it was a blessing.
The weather was perfect, in the mid to high 70s the whole week.  This week has been cloudy, rainy, and in the 50s, so I'm so glad we decided to do it when we did.  I'm so excited to get the pictures printed and on the walls!  We're so happy with how they turned out!

Nauvoo with Jason, Leah and Kids

We'd just arrived

Nelli, Ollie and leaves: what more could you need?

Cami and Katie all dressed up

Katie learning pioneer games.  She picked them up pretty fast.

Taylor loved this one.

"Hel--o," as Nelli said

Leah on stilts

Jason, Leah, and Taylor played a game of ring toss.

Nel in her pioneer bonnett :)

Taylor and Jason

This acrobat was cool!
It was fun to finally see Nauvoo and feel the spirit of the Pioneers.  I loved the exibits, trail of tears (a trail of journal entries of some of the pioneers), and the revised Joseph Smith movie.  I personally gained more of a tangible love for those wonderful people who sacrificed so much for the Lord.  Nelli slept during the Joseph Smith movie, so I got to fully enjoy it, yay!   The Spirit was there for sure.  We just loved being with Jason, Leah and the kids, even though we did get to scrunch in that little hotel room :).

Little Ladies

Citygarden with Marlee.  It was such a hot day, so we stripped them down to their diapers and let them play in the spray plaza.  They would put their faces over where the water came up...so funny!
